So the first post to the blog is not the assignment but rather to start exploring the voice of this blog. As you see on the blog roll there are others who are looking as well in this class and for some this is their first time and for others it’s not. I fit in the category that this is not my first rodeo and you can see reminants of my blogs all over the web and they are as best archived here and continued on on this site (wordpress.com) as best as the can be. Before i forget the class is @academicdave‘s EMAC 5300 class at the University of Texas at Dallas.
I have a couple of favorite sayings and through that the blog that I have as my personal blog was created. That blog was too personal to mix with a blog for class and for that reason this blog has been created. This blog for that reason is still discovering its own voice and method. I as a person and some what of a trained writer, my undergraduate degree is in broadcasting and journalism, already have a particular writing style as is evident in manythings I do and have done. The challenge is how to now to write in a style and a voice that conveys what the class requirers and also achieve a rythm to this all.
I hope to share with you what I learn and hope that you’ll be able to teach me something new along the way. For what this class allows us to do is to share and collaborate with each other so that we may learn from each other and grow. The best thing about collaboration is that we all have different experiences and different backgrounds so what I see is not what you see. Please share what you see; I will show you what I saw.
